Hadith Verses

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

Every Prophet has one supplication that is granted to him   and every Prophet hastened to make that supplication (in this world). But I have postponed my supplication in order to intercede for my Ummah on the Day of Resurrection."


The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

Allah shows compassion only to those among His slaves who are compassionate  [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]


Aisha (radi Allahu anha) narrated:

One day a woman accompanied by two small girls came to visit me and begged me to give her something. I had only one date which I handed over to her. The woman divided the date into two halves and gave one half to each girl   leaving nothing for herself to eat. Afterwards she stood up and went out. The same moment


Narrated Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu):

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) asked: Do you know who is bankrupt?" They (the Companions of the Prophet) replied: "A bankrupt man amongst us is one who has neither dirham with him nor wealth." Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "The poor of my Ummah would be he who would come on the Day of Resurrection with prayers and fasts and Zakat but since he hurled abuses upon others   brought calumny against others


Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

O you who have entered Islam with your tongues but whose hearts faith has not entered: do not slander people, and do not ferret out people's shameful points. Whoever searches out the shameful points of his brother, Allah will search out his shameful points, and if Allah searches out a person's shameful points, be sure that He will disgrace him even if he should remain in the middle of his house.  [Abu Dawud]


The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

Whoever leaves valuable dress out of humility to Allah while he is able to afford it   Allah will call him before all of creation on the Day of Judgement so that he can choose whichever Hulal of faith he wishes to wear."


Narrated Aisha (radi Allahu anha):

“The family of Muhammad never ate their fill of wheat bread for three successive days from the time they migrated to Medina until the death of the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam).”  [Sahih Bukhari]


The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

Musa (alaihis salam) asked Allah (subhana wa ta’ala)   ‘My Lord! Which one is the dearest to You among Your creatures?’ Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) said


The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

An Arab is no better than a non-Arab. In return   a non-Arab is no better than an Arab. A red-raced man is not better than a black one except in piety. Mankind are all Adam’s children and Adam was created out of clay."


Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

A servant of God will remain standing on the Day of Judgment until he is questioned about his (time on earth) and how he used it; about his knowledge and how he utilized it; about his wealth and from where he acquired it and in what (activities) he spent it; and about his body and how he used it.  [Tirmidhi]


Abu Hurayrah (radi Allahu anhu) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “The believers who show the most perfect Faith are those who have the best behaviour, and the best of you are those who are the best to their wives.  [At-Tirmidhi]


Jarir ibn Abdullah said:

I did not see the Prophet   since I embraced Islam


The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

The excellence of a person’s Islam includes leaving what does not concern him.  [Tirmidhi]


Jabir bin Abdullah (radi Allahu anhu) narrated:

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) asked a woman why she was shivering. She answered it was because of fever and cursed the fever. The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Do not slander fever, because it takes away many wrong actions, just as the blacksmith’s bellows remove dross and impurities from iron.  [Sahih Muslim]


Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

He who does not show mercy to people, Allah also does not show mercy to him.  [Bukhari]


The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said

No one who has an atom’s-weight of Pride in his heart will enter Paradise.  [Sahih Muslim]


Mu'awiyah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah said, When Allah wishes good for someone   He bestows upon him the understanding of Deen ."


Abud-Darda (May Allah be pleased with him) said:

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, He who defends the honor of his (Muslim) brother   Allah will secure his face against the Fire on the Day of Resurrection."


Narrated Abu Huraira (radi Allahu anhu):

I heard Allah's Apostle (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) saying, ‘Allah divided Mercy into one-hundred parts and kept ninety-nine parts of it with Him and sent down one part on earth. And because of that, its one single part, His creations are Merciful to each other, so much so that an animal lifts its hoof away from its young lest it should hurt it.  [Sahih Bukhari]


Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab':

I heard Allah's Apostle saying, The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry   his emigration was for what he emigrated for."

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:

Whoever recites these three surah (Ikhlas, Falqa, An-Nas) three times in the morning and in the evening, they will suffice him ( as a protection) against everything  {Sahih Al-Jami}


Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

The dua of a Muslim for his brothers in his absence is readily accepted, an angel is appointed to his side, whenever he makes a beneficial dua for his brother, the angel says, Ameen, and May you be blessed with the same.  [Muslim]


Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, There are two statements that are light for the tongue to remember   heavy in the Scales and are dear to the Merciful: 'Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi


Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, Do not disdain a good deed   (no matter how small it may seem) even if it is your meeting with your (Muslim) brother with a cheerful face."


Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, No Salat is more burdensome to the hypocrites than the Fajr (dawn) prayer and the 'Isha' (night) prayer; and if they knew their merits   they would come to them even if they had to crawl to do so."


Abu Sa'id and Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

Never a believer is stricken with a discomfort, an illness, an anxiety, a grief or mental worry or even the pricking of a thorn but Allah will expiate his sins on account of his patience.  [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]


Abu Yahya Suhaib bin Sinan reported:

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, How wonderful is the case of a believer; there is good for him in everything and this applies only to a believer. If prosperity attends him   he expresses gratitude to Allah and that is good for him; and if adversity befalls him


Abu Hurayrah (radi Allahu anhu) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:, “There are three signs of a hypocrite: When he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when he is trusted, he betrays his trust.  [Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim]


Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari (radi Allahu anhu) reported:

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, Read the Qur'an regularly. By the One in Whose Hand Muhammad's soul is   it escapes from memory faster than a camel does from its tying ropes.''"


Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) said:

Richness does not lie in the abundance of (worldly) goods   but richness is the richness of the soul (heart


Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) said:

He is successful who has accepted Islam   who has been provided with sufficient for his wants and been made contented by Allah with what He has given him."


Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that:

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) said: He whom Allah intends good   He makes him to suffer from some affliction"."


The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

Avoid the seven sins that will condemn the one who commits them to Hell.” The Sahabah asked   “What are they


The Prophet (sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

Allah   Blessed and Exalted is He


The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

When Allah elevates a pious man one level higher in Jannah   the man submits


The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

If one of you gets angry   let him be quiet."


The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

I will tell you the distinguishing marks of a person for whom the fire of Hell has been made unlawful and who is a forbidden person for Hellfire to consume; He is a man who bears a sweet temper   tender heart and is soft-spoken."


Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) said:

I heard the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) saying, Allah   the Exalted

Abu Hurayrah (radi Allahu anhu) reported:

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, Read the Qur'an regularly. By the One in Whose Hand Muhammad's soul is   it escapes from memory faster than a camel does from its tying ropes.''"

Richness does not lie in the abundance of (worldly) goods   but richness is the richness of the soul (heart

He is successful who has accepted Islam   who has been provided with sufficient for his wants and been made contented by Allah with what He has given him."

I will tell you the distinguishing marks of a person for whom the fire of Hell has been made unlawful and who is a forbidden person for Hellfire to consume; He is a man who bears a sweet temper   tender heart and is soft-spoken."


Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) said:

I heard the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) saying, Allah   the Exalted


The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

Every Prophet has one supplication that is granted to him   and every Prophet hastened to make that supplication (in this world). But I have postponed my supplication in order to intercede for my Ummah on the Day of Resurrection."


The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

Allah shows compassion only to those among His slaves who are compassionate  [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]


Aisha (radi Allahu anha) narrated:

One day a woman accompanied by two small girls came to visit me and begged me to give her something. I had only one date which I handed over to her. The woman divided the date into two halves and gave one half to each girl   leaving nothing for herself to eat. Afterwards she stood up and went out. The same moment

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) asked: Do you know who is bankrupt?" They (the Companions of the Prophet) replied: "A bankrupt man amongst us is one who has neither dirham with him nor wealth." Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "The poor of my Ummah would be he who would come on the Day of Resurrection with prayers and fasts and Zakat but since he hurled abuses upon others   brought calumny against others

O you who have entered Islam with your tongues but whose hearts faith has not entered: do not slander people, and do not ferret out people's shameful points. Whoever searches out the shameful points of his brother, Allah will search out his shameful points, and if Allah searches out a person's shameful points, be sure that He will disgrace him even if he should remain in the middle of his house.  [Abu Dawud]

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, Do not disdain a good deed   (no matter how small it may seem) even if it is your meeting with your (Muslim) brother with a cheerful face."

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, No Salat is more burdensome to the hypocrites than the Fajr (dawn) prayer and the 'Isha' (night) prayer; and if they knew their merits   they would come to them even if they had to crawl to do so."

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, There are two statements that are light for the tongue to remember   heavy in the Scales and are dear to the Merciful: 'Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, Do not disdain a good deed   (no matter how small it may seem) even if it is your meeting with your (Muslim) brother with a cheerful face."


Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, No Salat is more burdensome to the hypocrites than the Fajr (dawn) prayer and the 'Isha' (night) prayer; and if they knew their merits   they would come to them even if they had to crawl to do so."

Never a believer is stricken with a discomfort, an illness, an anxiety, a grief or mental worry or even the pricking of a thorn but Allah will expiate his sins on account of his patience.  [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]


Abu Yahya Suhaib bin Sinan reported:

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, How wonderful is the case of a believer; there is good for him in everything and this applies only to a believer. If prosperity attends him   he expresses gratitude to Allah and that is good for him; and if adversity befalls him

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, Read the Qur'an regularly. By the One in Whose Hand Muhammad's soul is   it escapes from memory faster than a camel does from its tying ropes.''"


Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) said:

Richness does not lie in the abundance of (worldly) goods   but richness is the richness of the soul (heart


Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) said:

He is successful who has accepted Islam   who has been provided with sufficient for his wants and been made contented by Allah with what He has given him."

I will tell you the distinguishing marks of a person for whom the fire of Hell has been made unlawful and who is a forbidden person for Hellfire to consume; He is a man who bears a sweet temper   tender heart and is soft-spoken."

I heard the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) saying, Allah   the Exalted


The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

Every Prophet has one supplication that is granted to him   and every Prophet hastened to make that supplication (in this world). But I have postponed my supplication in order to intercede for my Ummah on the Day of Resurrection."

Allah shows compassion only to those among His slaves who are compassionate  [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

One day a woman accompanied by two small girls came to visit me and begged me to give her something. I had only one date which I handed over to her. The woman divided the date into two halves and gave one half to each girl   leaving nothing for herself to eat. Afterwards she stood up and went out. The same moment

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) asked: Do you know who is bankrupt?" They (the Companions of the Prophet) replied: "A bankrupt man amongst us is one who has neither dirham with him nor wealth." Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "The poor of my Ummah would be he who would come on the Day of Resurrection with prayers and fasts and Zakat but since he hurled abuses upon others   brought calumny against others

O you who have entered Islam with your tongues but whose hearts faith has not entered: do not slander people, and do not ferret out people's shameful points. Whoever searches out the shameful points of his brother, Allah will search out his shameful points, and if Allah searches out a person's shameful points, be sure that He will disgrace him even if he should remain in the middle of his house.  [Abu Dawud]

A servant of God will remain standing on the Day of Judgment until he is questioned about his (time on earth) and how he used it; about his knowledge and how he utilized it; about his wealth and from where he acquired it and in what (activities) he spent it; and about his body and how he used it.  [Tirmidhi]

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) asked a woman why she was shivering. She answered it was because of fever and cursed the fever. The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Do not slander fever, because it takes away many wrong actions, just as the blacksmith’s bellows remove dross and impurities from iron.  [Sahih Muslim]


Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

He who does not show mercy to people, Allah also does not show mercy to him.  [Bukhari]

No one who has an atom’s-weight of Pride in his heart will enter Paradise.  [Sahih Muslim]

Abud-Darda (May Allah be pleased with him) said:

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, He who defends the honor of his (Muslim) brother   Allah will secure his face against the Fire on the Day of Resurrection."

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Do not slander fever, because it takes away many wrong actions, just as the blacksmith’s bellows remove dross and impurities from iron.  [Sahih Muslim]


Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

He who does not show mercy to people, Allah also does not show mercy to him.  [Bukhari]


The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said

No one who has an atom’s-weight of Pride in his heart will enter Paradise.  [Sahih Muslim]


Mu'awiyah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah said, When Allah wishes good for someone   He bestows upon him the understanding of Deen ."


Abud-Darda (May Allah be pleased with him) said:

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, He who defends the honor of his (Muslim) brother   Allah will secure his face against the Fire on the Day of Resurrection."


Narrated Abu Huraira (radi Allahu anhu):

I heard Allah's Apostle (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) saying, ‘Allah divided Mercy into one-hundred parts and kept ninety-nine parts of it with Him and sent down one part on earth. And because of that, its one single part, His creations are Merciful to each other, so much so that an animal lifts its hoof away from its young lest it should hurt it.  [Sahih Bukhari]


Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab':

I heard Allah's Apostle saying, The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry   his emigration was for what he emigrated for."

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:

Whoever recites these three surah (Ikhlas, Falqa, An-Nas) three times in the morning and in the evening, they will suffice him ( as a protection) against everything  {Sahih Al-Jami}


Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

The dua of a Muslim for his brothers in his absence is readily accepted, an angel is appointed to his side, whenever he makes a beneficial dua for his brother, the angel says, Ameen, and May you be blessed with the same.  [Muslim]


Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, There are two statements that are light for the tongue to remember   heavy in the Scales and are dear to the Merciful: 'Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi


Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, Do not disdain a good deed   (no matter how small it may seem) even if it is your meeting with your (Muslim) brother with a cheerful face."


Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, No Salat is more burdensome to the hypocrites than the Fajr (dawn) prayer and the 'Isha' (night) prayer; and if they knew their merits   they would come to them even if they had to crawl to do so."


Abu Sa'id and Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

Never a believer is stricken with a discomfort, an illness, an anxiety, a grief or mental worry or even the pricking of a thorn but Allah will expiate his sins on account of his patience.  [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]


Abu Yahya Suhaib bin Sinan reported:

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, How wonderful is the case of a believer; there is good for him in everything and this applies only to a believer. If prosperity attends him   he expresses gratitude to Allah and that is good for him; and if adversity befalls him


Abu Hurayrah (radi Allahu anhu) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:, “There are three signs of a hypocrite: When he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when he is trusted, he betrays his trust.  [Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim]


Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari (radi Allahu anhu) reported:

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, Read the Qur'an regularly. By the One in Whose Hand Muhammad's soul is   it escapes from memory faster than a camel does from its tying ropes.''"


Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) said:

Richness does not lie in the abundance of (worldly) goods   but richness is the richness of the soul (heart


Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) said:

He is successful who has accepted Islam   who has been provided with sufficient for his wants and been made contented by Allah with what He has given him."


Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that:

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) said: He whom Allah intends good   He makes him to suffer from some affliction"."


The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

Avoid the seven sins that will condemn the one who commits them to Hell.” The Sahabah asked   “What are they


The Prophet (sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

Allah   Blessed and Exalted is He


The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

When Allah elevates a pious man one level higher in Jannah   the man submits


The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

If one of you gets angry   let him be quiet."


The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

I will tell you the distinguishing marks of a person for whom the fire of Hell has been made unlawful and who is a forbidden person for Hellfire to consume; He is a man who bears a sweet temper   tender heart and is soft-spoken."


Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) said:

I heard the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) saying, Allah   the Exalted


The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

Every Prophet has one supplication that is granted to him   and every Prophet hastened to make that supplication (in this world). But I have postponed my supplication in order to intercede for my Ummah on the Day of Resurrection."


The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

Allah shows compassion only to those among His slaves who are compassionate  [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]


Aisha (radi Allahu anha) narrated:

One day a woman accompanied by two small girls came to visit me and begged me to give her something. I had only one date which I handed over to her. The woman divided the date into two halves and gave one half to each girl   leaving nothing for herself to eat. Afterwards she stood up and went out. The same moment


Narrated Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu):

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) asked: Do you know who is bankrupt?" They (the Companions of the Prophet) replied: "A bankrupt man amongst us is one who has neither dirham with him nor wealth." Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "The poor of my Ummah would be he who would come on the Day of Resurrection with prayers and fasts and Zakat but since he hurled abuses upon others   brought calumny against others


Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

O you who have entered Islam with your tongues but whose hearts faith has not entered: do not slander people, and do not ferret out people's shameful points. Whoever searches out the shameful points of his brother, Allah will search out his shameful points, and if Allah searches out a person's shameful points, be sure that He will disgrace him even if he should remain in the middle of his house.  [Abu Dawud]


The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

Whoever leaves valuable dress out of humility to Allah while he is able to afford it   Allah will call him before all of creation on the Day of Judgement so that he can choose whichever Hulal of faith he wishes to wear."


Narrated Aisha (radi Allahu anha):

“The family of Muhammad never ate their fill of wheat bread for three successive days from the time they migrated to Medina until the death of the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam).”  [Sahih Bukhari]


The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

Musa (alaihis salam) asked Allah (subhana wa ta’ala)   ‘My Lord! Which one is the dearest to You among Your creatures?’ Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) said


The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

An Arab is no better than a non-Arab. In return   a non-Arab is no better than an Arab. A red-raced man is not better than a black one except in piety. Mankind are all Adam’s children and Adam was created out of clay."


Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

A servant of God will remain standing on the Day of Judgment until he is questioned about his (time on earth) and how he used it; about his knowledge and how he utilized it; about his wealth and from where he acquired it and in what (activities) he spent it; and about his body and how he used it.  [Tirmidhi]


Abu Hurayrah (radi Allahu anhu) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “The believers who show the most perfect Faith are those who have the best behaviour, and the best of you are those who are the best to their wives.  [At-Tirmidhi]


Jarir ibn Abdullah said:

I did not see the Prophet   since I embraced Islam


The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

The excellence of a person’s Islam includes leaving what does not concern him.  [Tirmidhi]


Jabir bin Abdullah (radi Allahu anhu) narrated:

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) asked a woman why she was shivering. She answered it was because of fever and cursed the fever.
